Power cut to 1600+ properties after lines drop at Tinana, Maryborough

Police are on scene at a busy Maryborough road where power lines have dropped to truck-touching height forcing outages to more than 1600 properties. UPDATES.

Power lines running across Gympie Rd in Tinana have dropped from their usual height, causing some trucks driving past to touch them.

Police are on scene out the front of Ned Kelly’s Motel directing traffic on the road while electricity has been cut from the area.

According to Ergon Energy’s outage finder, 1670 customers are currently being affected.

There is no current estimated fix time for when Tinana’s power will be restored.
