A man who crashed an e-scooter in Dalby at the weekend was just one of many people involved in a scooter incident in the past few weeks.

Queensland Ambulance shared on Saturday night at 8.30pm the man crashed the scooter on Wharf St in the regional Queensland town and was taken to Dalby Hospital with ankle injuries, but was in a stable condition.

It comes three days after a teenage boy was rushed to hospital after being involved in an e-scooter and car crash on the Sunshine Coast.

In January this year, it was reported that hundreds of Queenslanders were being taken to emergency departments from e-scooter related crashes.

The Metro North Hospital and Health Service recorded 952 e-scooter related presentations at Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Princess Alexandra and Mater hospitals between November 2018 and June 2021.
