A floral display of music and celebrity chefs are set to hit the stage this year at the Festival of Food and Wine, after organisers revealed the lineup for the iconic Carnival of Flowers event.
Mashd N Kutcher, Kate Ceberano and Pete Murray are some of the music acts filling up Queen’s Park with festivities from September 15 in the three day bonanza of the Festival of Food & Wine.
As part of the taste testing festival with more than 35 local food and wine offerings, award-winning celebrity pastry chef Anna Polyviou will be whipping some sugary sensations – from cookie dough pies to basque cheesecake.
The festival will also include 15 pop-up cellar doors, cocktail bars, beer, wine and cheese tasting stations, and the flower crown making stations.
The festival will kick off the city’s 75th Carnival of Flowers, where the Garden City heralds in spring with a colourful parade through its main street, and drawing thousands of visitors from around the nation and the world to browse through Toowoomba’s exceptional backyards entered in The Chronicle Garden Competition.
