The Lennox Hotel
16.5/20

Beef and Beach conjures up kooky combinations of prawns atop burgers, but The Lennox Hotel's newish eatery is much nicer than that. Upstairs, and playing second fiddle to the gobsmacking view of Seven Mile Beach, is the elegant cocktail lounge, dining room and balcony. Fresh mini garlic loaves were good, but fast eclipsed by the sashimi of salmon with pickled ginger, soy and wasabi. The lamb rump was succulent and delicious, accompanied by French fries and vegetables with gravy. The Moroccan spiced breast fillet chicken burger with French fries, bacon, lettuce, tomato, cheese and guacamole is a genuine performer without showy overtones.
