Nourishing Quarter
Vietnamese$$
It might specialise in nutritious, health-conscious, gluten-free vegan food, but Nourishing Quarter is a far cry from your holier-than-thou vegetarian restaurants. Instead, it's a charming, witty, quite eccentric room and courtyard filled with grandma's kitchen tables, portraits of the Queen and Prince Philip, and ornate floral plates, cups and saucers. The food is just as much fun, from the fresh rice-paper rolls stuffed with quinoa, chia seeds, kumara noodles and vegetables to a surprisingly full-bodied pho and the shareable Passage to India: an aromatic vegetable curry that comes with its own second course of moulded amaranth and quinoa. Service is slow but sweet.
