Grape Garden
Chinese
This modest food court hides a cheerful stall run by a husband and wife team. Gau Lun is in charge of the handmade noodles, pulling and slapping them until the coiled strands end up silken yet chewy in either a bowl of beef noodles or, for the more adventurous, spicy 'dan dan' noodles. His wife Jie Zhang pulls the other strings in the kitchen, crisping up delightfully flaky shallot pancakes and pan-fried dumplings that burst with hot juices. Try their many traditional sides like cold chilli chicken, pickled cabbage and pig ears - just beware; most are doused in homemade chilli oil.
