Sophistication has come to Sydney Hills with this swanky new cool and contemporary hotel. Part funky warehouse, part luxe lounge, with eclectic decor including stuffed animal heads, wine rackwalls, candelabras and curtain-draped booths. The food is all about up-market pub fare with generous ‘hungry man’-sized servings. The concise menu offers plenty of variety. Oysters are shucked to order,and a salumi starter feeds four. The plate-sized grilled chicken is moist and succulent, the rigatoni ragu authentic, the crisp pork belly lick-the-plate delicious and the scotch fillet cooked to perfection. The wine list is sophisticated but pricey,and dessert is cake heaven.
