Alrose Garden
Korean$$
This place packs in a young crowd with a bar, buzzy music and a kooky crowd-pleasing menu. Yes, there are Korean hotpots and grills as well as good house-made dumplings filled with coarse pork mince. Chewy pork slices, calamari and mung bean sprouts are a shareable hot plate feast, lavishly cloaked in chilli sauce, and sit on the trad-Korean side of the menu. But there are also bar snacks, stir-fries, schnitzels and smoothies, so no matter your mood, there's no need to go anywhere else. Until dessert, that is, when you pop next door and join the queue for frozen yoghurt at Moochi.
