Reverence Specialty Coffee & Tea
Siblings Annie and Andreas Martinu have brought their coffee expertise to their home suburb. Annie was head barista at Canterbury's Maling Room for three years and Andreas is head roaster for Atomica. Their house blend is roasted in large batches off-site, while the single origins are roasted right here. You might be offered a deliciously fruity, juicy Kenya Tinganga pourover ($5) or the highly regarded San Julian single origin from Guatemala ($3.50), full of subtle sweetness. The pair show a similar reverence for tea. Throw in a smart, brunch-friendly menu featuring Istra bacon and wagyu burgers, and Ascot Vale may have a cafe star on its hands.
