Omar & the Marvellous Coffee Bird
Contemporary$$
A kind-of coffee cellar door, Omar’s roastery and cafe uses its funky-factory-style space to both serve and roast in harmony. Take a seat and get talking beans and roasts to one of the savvy staff who’ll describe, say, a Kenyan Kiangoi AB with brain-numbing detail. Breakfasts fly through a creative selection of dishes, perhaps a mushroom melt with pesto and fontina, or braised beans with labna. Lunchtime flatbreads may include chicken with mayo and avocado or there are salads; a quinoa, brown rice, apple and orange is particularly textural and sweet, making Omar’s a lovely place to nest.
