Fat Bob’s Bar & Grill
$$
Fat Bob’s is the ultimate man cave. Housed behind a signwriting workshop in a backstreet industrial estate, the diner’s walls are crowded with mirror, neon and tin signs, a pedal car hangs from the ceiling and there’s an old Golden Fleece bowser by the bar. The kitchen smashes out big, juicy burgers, including the Hummer, with jalapenos and cucumber, and the Simplex, with cheese and tomato sauce, along with scaled-down kids’ versions. Sides include fat chips, onion rings and moreish zucchini chips. Customers travel from all over Melbourne, cheerfully queuing and paying for food and craft beers at the bar.
