The Winston
15.5/20
Contemporary$$
Stone, cane, timber, leather and fireplaces create interesting dining spaces - from contemporary to traditional - in this buzzing, modern, family-friendly pub. The extensive menu spans gourmet pizzas, one-kilo mussel pots, steaks, pub classics and unexpected dishes like roasted spatchcock and braised goat curry. The thick NSW wagyu rump is cooked to order and the roasted barramundi with chorizo, mussels and tomato broth is a winner. Interesting sides include brussels sprouts with bacon and almonds and baked parmesan risotto. Finish with the tasting platter of four plate-scrapingly delicious desserts.
