The Shortlist
Contemporary
The Shortlist sits halfway along the trek from Redfern Station to Sydney Uni, hence the mix of mature-age and not-yet-mature-age in the clientele. Some take a seat out the front on the child-size stools to see and be seen, others feel more at home in the cute little courtyard out the back. The Shortlist's famed baked beans with toast soldiers and bocconcini are hearty, rich and filling, and a steal at eight bucks (add chorizo for an extra two).Their house blend, The Little Marionette's Diego's Stretch, makes a deeply earthy macchiato ($3.50) with a lingering aftertaste.
