The Cessnock Hotel
14.5/20
Contemporary$$
The Cessnock's spacious bar and lounge exult in an old-world charm and are made all the more enchanting by this grand old beauty's imperfections. We opt for a table in the restaurant's sunny courtyard. A tasting plate comes piled with soft prosciutto, divinely fresh olives and chorizo. The Kurrajong Restaurant's gigantic signature ribs on thick-cut chips are impossible to finish. The meat is sublime: sticky in a thick, sweet sauce and falling off the bone, and the salad is drizzled in a delicious honey mustard. The works burger is super-sized and impossible to keep together. We challenge you to find a better one.
