Madam Char Char

Nothing satisfies like a humble charcoal chook sometimes – even when said chook’s had a bit of a makeover. Here, chicken is stuffed with herbs and spices before being roasted, or marinated in Portuguese spices and lemon. There’s the recognisable ‘full’, ‘half’ and ‘quarter’ options. Various renditions of healthy salads, featuring the likes of beetroot, quinoa, roasted cauliflower and broccoli, pearl barley and pomegranate are set against a good list of burgers. The Tradie is a lean beef, bacon, egg, beetroot, cheese and aioli burger done with ‘nan’s relish’. It’s a casual place for a bite on the way home, or before a night out.
