Jinnah's
Pakistani$$
We could warn you about the decor - as far from minimalism as you could possibly get, with every square inch covered in fairy lights, photos, flags, cricket memorabilia and more - but you might still be overwhelmed. The menu is a lot to take in, too, ranging from Jinnah's specialities of nihari, haleem and paya curries to various tandoor-roasted meats and even chicken nuggets for the kids. Sauces are rich and aromatic, as in a dish of paneer tikka masala: squeaky cubes of cottage cheese in a thick tomato sauce with fresh coriander. Creamy-textured daal korma, topped with slivered almonds, is true comfort food, and salty naan is an essential side.
