The Foodrinkery
Contemporary
This is the cafe we all wish would open on our suburban street. The Foodrinkery offers delicious, well-priced food with a touch of city smarts, organic Fairtrade coffee, and a minty-fresh fitout in shades of white and green. The small kitchen might turn out baked eggs with pork sausage and spiced eggplant, a croque-madame, or juicy portobello mushrooms on toast with a generous mound of rocket and goat's cheese on top. Unlikely-sounding 'toasties' in the counter cabinet are surprisingly delicious: a pide filled with hummus, taleggio, thyme and potato slices is a winner. The rear courtyard opens onto a large park and playground.
