Aldi brings back popular travel items
Aldi has decided to bring back a popular Special Buys to its much-loved middle section with travellers sure to get bargain deals.
Bargain hunters who love road trips and van life will be pleased to know Aldi has brought back its popular travel Special Buys range.
The German retailer announced on Thursday its caravan and road trip Special Buys are back with items ranging from $10 to $100.
There’s items marketed towards campers who just need the basics such as a LED headlamp ($10) to those wanting some of the more serious things such as a foldable washing machine ($80) and portable outdoor shower ($50).
The Special Buys will be arriving in stores from Saturday, February 8, but the retail giant warns some products are facing delays.
“We are unfortunately experiencing shipping delays which means some Special Buys may not be in store on the advertised on-sale date. We are trying our best to limit these delays and will make any delayed products available in store as soon as possible.”
There’s plenty on offer in the range including a 14-16ft or 16-18ft caravan cover for $100. If you’re in need of chairs there compact director chars for $60.
And if privacy is what you’re after there's a front wall privacy screen for $50 or a side wall privacy screen for $30.
For all your cooking needs there’s a cookware set for $60, collapsible food containers for $15 and a portable coffee maker or outdoor kettle for $40.
If you need to upgrade your road trip car, there is $99.99 roof racks and for added security a Uniden IGO CAM445 dashcam for $100.
There’s also something for those with pets with a car pet hammock for $20 and luxury pet car travel seat for $40.
Camping and caravanning continues to boom in Australia, with adventurers seeing it as the perfect way to experience open spaces and natural beauty.
According to the Australian Trade and Investment Commission, the caravan and camping sector is a major contributor for the economy, with the number of caravan and camping trips (including glamping) continuing to grow across the country.
As reported by the National Visitor Survey (NVS) methodology, in the year ending 2023, Australians took 15.3 million caravan and camping trips. Spend was at $14.3 billion, marking that year as an all-time high for the sector.
