THE Jillaroos will tackle the Cook Islands, England and Canada — all at Shark Park at Cronulla — in their opening matches of the historic women’s rugby league World Cup next year.
Australia will also play its semi-finals at the Southern Cross Group Stadium and if they advance as expected, will head north for a double header with the men’s final at Brisbane Stadium on December 2.
The tournament draw for the event was revealed on Monday with Australia in Pool A with England and the Cook Islands.
Pool B boasts New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Canada.

Key games will see Australia play the Cook Islands in their opener on November 16, England on November 19 and Canada on November 22.
All other teams will also play on these three dates.
“Interest in women’s rugby league has never been greater and we want this tournament to provide a platform to showcase these world-class athletes and inspire others to follow in their footsteps,’’ said World Cup chief executive Andrew Hill.
“The two pools are evenly matched and lends itself perfectly to exciting rugby league.
“Having multiple games on the one day at Southern Cross Group Stadium will create a real festival of rugby league for teams and fans alike.’’
