It was six in the morning when I sliced through the tape and pulled the new Womanizer Enhance Pleasure Air Clitoral Vibrator out of its box, unable to resist the purple package that had arrived on my doorstep the afternoon before.
As a sex writer and regular toy tester, I’ve been lucky enough to trial some of the brand’s best buys (I’m talking about you, Next), but there is nothing that could have prepared me for what came next.
As I gingerly pressed the tip of the toy into the palm of my hand, my fingers flicked through its many, many functions and into uncharted territory. Because while the hairs down my arms stood erect and to attention, I realised I was holding onto the single most revolutionary device to grace clitorises everywhere.
A toy that didn’t just boast Womanizer’s signature Pleasure Air Technology but We-Vibe’s rumbly vibrations as well, and – best of all – a “100 per cent orgasm rate” among reviewers.
But did it deliver for me?

SETTING THE STANDARD FOR INTIMATE PLEASURE
Self-described as a “trailblazer in intimate pleasure technology”, Womanizer says it’s redefined satisfaction with its “groundbreaking” new two-in-one product – the Enhance, which is out today.
Which is a pretty big claim to make, but if you’ve well versed in the company’s line up you’ll know that the brand constantly and continuously sets the standard for intimate pleasure. And in the pre-dawn light streaming through my loungeroom window, I knew this toy was about to blow all others out of the water.
Bringing together the Pleasure Air Technology that Womanzier has become known for since 2014, with all the bumpy vibrations of the We-Vibe (another Lovehoney vibrator brand), the Enhance – in my humble opinion – is the greatest game changer since the first Womanzier burst on the market more than a decade ago.
FIRST IMPRESSION
In line with Womanzier’s consistent packaging, the Enchance looks like every other Womanzier toy from the outset. Even when I pulled it out of its box and rotated the soft silicone device in my hand, I wasn’t outrageously overwhelmed – just intrigued at the more-than-usual number of bottoms.
And then I turned it on.
The sun hadn’t even risen but suddenly I was wide awake, switching up the separate controls as I stood in my kitchen. The toy came to life in my hand, offering up everything from gentle waves to powerful pulses, stronger than I’d ever felt before. But I had run club to get to, so – unwillingly – I put the toy down and ran out the door, with my mind firmly fixated on what would happen when I got home.
HOW IT WENT
Two hours later, showered after the run and coffee with my run club crush, I was lying back on my bed when I hesitatingly moved the Enhance down my body.
Having tested the magnitude of power in my palm, I was tentative about putting something so strong on my most delicate parts. So instead of going straight in on full intensity, which is my usual move, I started at the bottom and waited until I was ready for the next level.

IS IT USER FRIENDLY?
Just like with any toy, I’d always recommend reading the instructions before going to town so you can fully appreciate every single function, and understand how to operate it from up above. Especially when the device has more than the average number of buttons, such as in Enhance’s case. Overwhelmed with options, and even lost at how to turn the toy on, the instruction booklet was lifesaving and got me exactly where I needed to go – just be prepared that it may take a bit of practice to get a handle on the Enhance.

VERDICT IS IT WORTH BUYING?
If you’re a lover of clitoral stimulation, yes. If you’re a lover of toys that use air pressure or sonic waves to create a sucking sensation designed to minic oral oral, abso-f**king-lutely yes. In my mind, there is no greater, more powerful or more unique toy out there.
My only advice? Handle with care, and go slow.
