DRIVING along some of Melbourne’s most prestigious, tree-lined streets it’s hard to imagine who could live inside those magnificent mansions.
Hidden behind cast iron gates or heritage listed hedges are some of Melbourne’s architectural wonders and celebrations of opulence.
Others unapologetically stand out from the street, featuring bursting red walls or even a mural of a well-known Baywatch babe.
It’s very rare that us normal folk get a chance to take a peep inside, that honour reserved for the family and friends of Melbourne’s rich and famous.
But here is our chance ...
Rebecca and Chris Judd
MELBOURNE’S most loved WAG and her former footy star hubby would no doubt have the most beautiful home.
Keeping it simple and classy, just like her new home label, their Brighton home is flooded with light.
It has minimum fixtures and fittings and lots of timber, natural stone and bright pops of colour.

Molly Meldrum
OUR BELOVED Molly’s home in Richmond is surrounded by four high walls — but it’s no secret where he lives — the walls emblazoned with the logo of his favourite sporting clubs, St Kilda and Melbourne Storm.
But it’s inside that Molly’s true style comes out — his house a cave of Egyptian themed treasures.
Darryn Lyons
THIS HOME is colourful and eclectic like it’s owner, the former Geelong mayor.
It’s littered with framed photographs, from his days as a paparazzi, and sporting memorabilia and is a kaleidoscope of style and colour.
Sam Newman
IT DIVIDED locals but Sam Newman’s former “Pamela Anderson” themed St Kilda West house divided local opinion back in the early 2000s.
He never actually lived in the house, which he built at the height of his playboy notoriety, but the glass panel made headlines across the world.
The former footy star is no shrinking violet — he is well known for his passion for fast, expensive cars too.
Mick Gatto
THE UNDERWORLD identity’s Lower Plenty mansion was put on the market late last year and gave everyone a chance to see how the other half live.
The former boxer’s home boasts a whopping five bathrooms, a huge gymnasium, a tennis court and pool.
Julia Gillard
THE MODEST home of Australia’s first female Australian Prime Minister sure got the attention of home hunters when it went on the market in 2013.
Unassuming on the outside, the brick home included a tidy back yard, renovated kitchen and bedrooms and a lovely teal-coloured bathroom.
Shane Warne
CRICKET superstar Shane Warne’s Brighton home is too much to even imagine.
It has six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a nine seat theatre, tennis courts, a pool and a garage that can house four cars.
No wonder he bought it back in 2016 after selling it in 2007.

Jenny Bannister
THE FASHION icon’s home oozed with artistic flair — included a Tuscan-style pool when it was sold last year for a whopping $3.3 million.
The four-bedroom, two-bathroom St Kilda home, built in 1873, features lots of colour and animal print — much like the clothes she designed for Kylie Minogue or Tina Turner.
