Disgraced AFL agent Ricky Nixon has taken aim at two of his sworn enemies at his Melbourne 60th birthday bash, saying he didn’t give “a f--k’ AFL journalist Caroline Wilson and A Current Affair reporter Seb Costello weren’t in the room.
“True friends stand by you through thick and thin and this room is my true friends,” Nixon told guests at his Port Melbourne Pier Hotel party on Saturday night.
Nixon famously elbowed Costello in the face last year when the reporter quizzed him in the street about a controversial business venture.
He has also made no secret of the fact he doesn’t care for widely-respected football journalist Caroline Wilson.
“There are two apologies I have to make public. Unfortunately, Caroline Wilson and Seb Costello couldn’t be here tonight,” Nixon is seen saying on video.
“But who gives a f***, toot toot,” he said, pretending to elbow them and revealing a sweat-soaked shirt.
Nixon also had a simmering feud with former AFL star Warwick Capper in the lead up to his birthday extravaganza, saying the only 60th birthday party people would rock up to was his.
Nixon had initially hoped the pair would have a joint birthday party, but that idea was quashed by Capper.
“He made a decision that we’re going to have a joint 60th and then decided not to do it after I put in place a lot of things,’’ Nixon said on the You Cannot Be Serious podcast.
“I said I’ll do my own then. At the end of the day it’s better anyway.
“It’s funny I spoke to Mick Gatto … Capper saying he’s coming to run security and Mick said I haven’t had an invitation from him and I’m not going anyway.
“I can offer that my party is about friends, my family and everyone who’s been great to me over the years and Warwick’s is all about one thing. Last count only him going to his own party.”
On Friday, Nixon also fired up at Premier Dan Andrews on his social media, saying: “Welcome to the new world where Dan fines you for crossing the road, what a joke this world’s become.”
