Ricky Nixon says the only 60th birthday party people will rock up to is his.
The former high-flying agent has poured more fuel on his simmering feud with Warwick Capper by saying no one — including Mick Gatto — will turn up to his bash.
Nixon has slated his celebration for July 8, a week before Capper’s, after the idea of a joint party blew up.
“He made a decision that we’re going to have a joint 60th and then decided not to do it after I put in place a lot of things,’’ Nixon said on the You Cannot Be Serious podcast.
“I said I’ll do my own then. At the end of the day it’s better anyway.
“It’s funny I spoke to Mick Gatto... Capper saying he’s coming to run security and Mick said I haven’t had an invitation from him and I’m not going anyway.
“I can offer that my party is about friends, my family and everyone who’s been great to me over the years and Warwick’s is all about one thing. Last count only him going to his own party.”
Nixon labelled Capper’s claim that he had Woman’s Day sponsoring the party as “total crap”.
Capper told the Herald Sun he would have Gatto at his July 15 event at the Pier Hotel in Port Melbourne to also ensure Nixon doesn’t get in.
“My bash will be bigger than Texas,’’ the flamboyant former Swans high-flyer said.
To go with his shiny new teeth, which cost $80,000, the legendary larrikin is getting a touch-up of botox before he steps out in what’s likely to be a pink leopard print suit and gold jewellery.
He said he was never keen on sharing the limelight with Nixon and claimed that his partner will attend his party not Nixon’s.
“He said it’s all about you and I said of course it is, no one knows you,’’ Capper said.
“I said you can have 10 people which is perfect. He’s had so much plastic surgery that tears run down his back.”
Nixon’s birthday was in April while Capper marked his 60th earlier in June with a dinner at Flower Drum and a party in his man cave at home, dubbed Capper Cave, where he watches his highlights and which has boasted visits from many familiar faces, including Charlie Sheen.
“My highlights go for an hour, I was pretty good, but I can’t jump anymore because I fell off my motorbike and hurt my cruciate ligament,’’ Capper said. “I used to jump over everyone’s heads but now I can only jump two feet.”
He said he postponed the official party because he was due to go on the Amazing Race Australia celebrity edition.
“I was going to do it with my son but they didn’t pay the money,’’ he said.
“They want me to do I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! instead. I said how much did Warnie get — if he got a mill, I said I’ll have $1.2m. They’ve asked me four times but I don’t like snakes. That’s why they get C-grade celebs because the A-graders are still here.”
Capper has engaged many to perform at his party, including Shannon Noll, Boom Crash Opera, Taxiride and Brian Mannix — and promises he’ll get up on stage, too.
He’s invited friends including Wayne Carey, Sam Newman, Billy Brownless and Gatto — “Gatto is on security to make sure Nixon doesn’t get in”.
“I would have had Geoffrey Edelsten, the great Tom Hafey, Shane Warne and Christopher Skase coming along if they were alive,’’ Capper said.
“Skase paid me $3.7m over three years... he was ahead of his time.”
Capper was at Flemington last Saturday to cheer on his horse Capper ThirtyNine.
He won $20,000 when it saluted last start in Bendigo.
