A DRIVER strolling down the middle of the Princes Freeway has narrowly avoided being struck down by a truck, with the entire incident captured on dash cam.

A DRIVER strolling down the middle of the Princes Freeway has narrowly avoided being hit by a truck, with the entire incident captured on dash cam.

The Dash Cam Owners Australia footage, published by 3AW to YouTube, shows a truck slamming on its brakes before swerving to avoid the driver and debris on the road.

The driver in a high-visibility orange vest continues casually strolling down the busy freeway, near an exit to Werribee.

A truck can then be seen parked near the exit.
