Caught on camera: Driver’s crazy Dandenong footpath reverse crash bewilders Australians
In a video shared by Dashcam Owners Australia, a female driver in Greenvale heavily misjudged a right-turn, missing her lane completely and driving the Mazda on top of a waiting car with a sickening crunch.
Owner Terry said the driver “didn’t really say much, denied being distracted by a phone, just said that she didn’t see me”.
To his credit, Terry stays calm throughout, calling out “What are you doin’?” to the errant driver as smoke pours out from under the hood of his car.
He also shared the aftermath showing the front bumper all but dislocated from his car, and extensive damage along the side that was crunched.
According to the timestamp, the smash occurred on December 8, just after 4pm.
The video has been watched more than 145,000 times, with more than 1000 commenters criticising the driver.
