Instead, the driver was arrested and breath-tested by the police, according to Dash Cam Owners Australia.

The organisation posted another sample of insane driving on their Facebook page, this time reportedly in Dandenong in Melbourne’s southeast.

Was it a stunt gone wrong, a foot stuck on the reverse pedal, or simply a drunk driver who had lost their brain?

What on earth happened here?

The video, apparently filmed from a residential security camera, shows a car reversing down a quiet suburban street at high speed.

It then takes out the footpath before taking an erratic J-turn across the road before reverse ploughing straight into a parked car.

The video has been viewed more than 1,300 times.
