That first sip of coffee in the morning is like a high-five in your mouth — it wakes you up and encourages you to take on the day.

In fact, you could argue that coffee and is pretty much the key to nailing life.

So where should you go for your morning caffeine fix?

We asked for your favourite spots to feed your coffee habit and you answered the call.

The votes have been tallied and it’s time to reveal who makes the best brew in Wyndham.

13. BABYCINO ON MAIN, 306/2 Main St, Point Cook

This little cafe prides itself on its focus on clean eating and quality coffee.

It boasts an extensive drinks menu, including acai and superfood smoothies and protein shakes as well the usual coffee and tea options.

Breakfast bowls, waffles and baked potatoes make up the bulk of the food menu.

12. SPRINKLES ICE CREAMERY, 170 Thames Blvd, Tarneit

For a taste of the sweet life, these guys have you covered.

The huge array of goodies, including more than 35 flavours of ice cream and gelato, chocolates and fudges, is sure to satisfy any sugar cravings you may have while the barista-made coffee will help keep you sane if you’re planning to brave taking the little ones with you.

Open until 9.30pm every night, Sprinkles also stocks a range of international sweets such as Whittaker’s from New Zealand and the Maynards Bassetts range of gummy treats from the UK.

This is definitely the place to go if you want to make everyday a sundae.

11. SERRANO’S CAFE, 62 Wickford Rd, Tarneit

The cafe, located at Tarneit Gardens Shopping Centre, has developed a loyal following largely thanks to the friendly staff.

“Friendly staff”, “good service” and “delicious coffee” are common among Facebook reviewers.

The breakfast and lunch menus are extensive — and reasonably priced.

You can chow down on eggs Benedict or a burger for under $15 while the rockyroad pancakes — served with vanilla ice cream, marshmallows, crushed nuts and chocolate sauce — will set you back $13.50.

10. JOCK + MACK, 31 Old Geelong Rd, Hoppers Crossing

Named after the owners’ dearly departed schnauzers, Jock + Mack has fast become a popular haunt in Hoppers Crossing since opening late last year.

They serve Axil coffee any way you like it and the all day breakfast menu includes fresh takes on smashed avocado and eggs Benedict as well as the more decadent buttermilk ricotta pancakes, topped with mascarpone folded in a white chocolate ganache, sprinkled with roasted crushed nuts and fresh berries and drizzled in pure maple syrup.

And regulars to Jock + Mack can pick up a rewards card and get their eight coffee free.

9. T JAYS CAFE, 10c Watton St, Werribee

Fancy devouring a burger with the lot and getting change from a $10 note? T Jays Cafe is the answer.

The vibe is low-key and there’s nothing pretentious about the food or coffee — but it tastes good and it’s served with a smile.

Grab a big brekky for $13 or a lasagne with salad for $10, wash it down with a latte, and you’ll be ready to tackle whatever the day throws at you.

8. BLACK SEED, 2/133 Watton St, Werribee

Located in the heart of Werribee — and up against some stiff competition from surrounding cafes — Black Seed offers a warm, bright vibe and great service.

There’s plenty to choose from in the way of food, including passionfruit hot cakes and coconut chia pudding.

And the unicorn ‘freakshake’ is a must-try — a blue heaven shake with whipped cream, fairy floss and lollies on top.

7. CAPRA COFFEE, 4-6 Horne St, Hoppers Crossing

Tucked away in an industrial area, this is your one-stop shop for all things coffee.

Not only can you get a delicious coffee and piece of cake, you can pick up brewing equipment, kitchenware, syrups and freshly roasted beans to take home and brew yourself.

They have a huge selection of beans to choose from and a play area for the kids so they’ll be entertained while you’re choosing your favourite blend or single-origin.

With the warm weather determined to hang around for a while, think about trying an iced coffee instead.

6. CODY’S CAFE, Shop 16/455 Ballan Rd, Wyndham Vale

Located at Manor Lakes shopping centre, Cody’s Cafe is family friendly — and good for hangovers, according to the Facebook reviews.

And if you’ve just woken up after a big night out, fear not, they offer Uber eats!

They also cater to food intolerances so it’s safe to bring your friends who can’t have gluten, dairy, fructose etc.

5. THE SOUTH CORNER, 11 Wedge St South, Werribee

Named as an homage to its former life as a corner milk bar, The South Corner is bustling with people in desperate need of a caffeine fix most days.

They serve breakfast all day from 6.30am on weekdays and 7.30am on weekends.

The menu is updated regularly and there’s usually a weekly special on offer to keep the regulars coming back for more.

This week’s pappardelle pasta with bacon, semi-dried tomato pesto, parsley, cream and parmesan cheese was yummo!

4. BEAN SMUGGLER, 225-229 Sneyed Rd, Point Cook

This joint serves up specialty Five Senses coffee and Insta-worthy brunches with a smile.

For those who don’t like coffee (is there such a person?), a range of housemade cordials is available to help quench your thirst.

The menu is more adventurous than some brunch places, dishing up miso cured salmon, black sesame porridge and curry spiced cauliflower with hummus, quinoa and beetroot yoghurt.

Of course they do coffee any way you like it, as well as matcha lattes and a selection of teas.

3. CHATTERBOX CAFE, 63 Watton St, Werribee

You can expect to find a queue at the coffee counter most mornings as people stop in to get a caffeine jolt on their way to work.

Chatterbox is also popular among lawyers and police who pop by during lunch break from the Werribee Magistrates’ Court.

The coffee is tops and the food offering fresh and seasonal, with the menu changing every six months or so.

2. GRINDSTONE KITCHEN, Shop 2, 50 Old Geelong Rd, Hoppers Crossing

Serving up specialty coffee from Code Black as well as beetroot, turmeric and matcha lattes, Grindstone Kitchen knows how to keep customers happy.

Fellas, get your hands on a specially brewed barista coffee and fancy brunch meal then pop next door for a cutthroat shave or haircut at Grindstone Barbers.

If you’re not in the mood for a spot of grooming, the coffee and food should be enough to satisfy you.

1. NOTORIOUS ESPRESSO, 81 Watton St, Werribee

With artisan coffee and a huge range of out-of-the-box breakfast options like matcha chai porridge or sticky date and banana pancakes, it isn’t hard to see why you’ve voted Notorious Espresso the best in the west.

The menu changes seasonally and specials are available daily, with the friendly staff always up for a chat or ready to help you decide what to order.

The funky venue and chill vibe brings a little bit of Fitzroy to Werribee.

And they have a range of gluten-free and vegetarian and vegan friendly dishes.
