Southeast court drug dealers: From bra-stuffers to DFO substance-sellers to stripper excuses

From a pill-popping public party host to a bra-stashing woman, these are the faces of some of Melbourne's dopiest drug dealers.

The weird, wily and woeful ways of some of the southeast’s dopiest drug dealers have been aired in court.

There have been bra-stuffers, park party people, DFO dealers, substance-selling strippers and teenage top-up traffickers – to name a few.

Stripping pays better, she says

Last year Frankston Magistrates’ Court heard the case of 25-year-old Trisha Cox, nabbed in the driver’s seat of a car suspiciously parked on a nature strip in Seaford at 3.45am.

In her bag were bundles of cash, a large glass pipe, GHB in vials, a mobile phone and small zip lock bags.

She admitted to officers that she had smoked ice the night before, but said the cash was from a big win at the pokies.

She denied dealing drugs, saying she “made enough money as a stripper”, working sporadically part-time as an exotic dancer and had only dealt drugs to fund her own habit. More here: DRUG DEALING STRIPPER NABBED WITH GHB, CASH, SYRINGES

Just well-endowed, officer

Underwear was a theme common to the trafficking case of Nikki Jordon-Menner.

Dandenong Magistrates’ Court heard police saw the 22-year-old sat in the driver’s side of a parked car with the lights turned off at 5.30am.

There they found a cocktail of drugs including ice, GHB, as well as paraphernalia.

But a search of her person back at the station was far more revealing.

Officers found more than 100 Xanax tablets, eight valium pills, 4g of cannabis and multiple small deal bags stuffed in her bra.

Young love (of drugs, money)

In another case Zoe Booth, 18, and Brodie Sims, 20, were nabbed with a smorgasbord of substances — including horse tranquillisers, LSD, ecstasy, magic mushrooms and Valium — hidden in their Rye bedroom, as well as $5500 in cash and several counterfeit notes.

Dromana Magistrates’ Court heard Booth was a hospitality worker at a local hotel while Sims, a pizza shop employee, had been in the navy but struggled, and took to drugs when he was discharged.

Their lawyer pleaded for light sentences – they got community corrections orders – because they were young, had bright futures, and had only dealt drugs to supplement their meagre incomes.

Their ill-fated crime capers shadowed in comparison to the blatant offending of Lily Leigh Jebson.

Ice queen a DFO dealer

She describes herself as an actor, model, photographer, hairdresser, makeup artist and fashion stylist, but in reality Lily Jebson is a DFO drug-selling ice-queen.

Moorabbin Magistrates’ Court heard Jebson came to the attention of cops because she was seen loitering with three other people who repeatedly went into and out of the Moorabbin DFO complex and back to a stolen car.

The Cranbourne 24-year-old, who has trafficking priors, was caught with a jumper and bed sheets that a friend of hers had stolen from Southland earlier the same day.

But cops also found nearly a grand in cash and a case containing ice, digital scales and deal bags.

When Jebson unlocked her phone officers saw a series of text messages indicating she had been dealing – again.

Music to police ears

Perhaps the most daring drug-dealing crime involves Kailum Newland, who practically invited police to a pill-popping party he was hosting at a public carpark.

Frankston Magistrates’ Court heard the 21-year-old Langwarrin man’s parked car was seen by a passing patrol, loud tunes blasting out into the night.

When officers went to speak to him he appeared nervous — with good reason — as there was a large stash of drugs in his car, including ketamine, ecstasy, GHB, Xanax, Oxycodone and steroids.

Yet he didn’t learn his lesson, and was caught again with ice and ecstasy in his wallet just a few months later.
