A woman who tried to deal an array of drugs that she had stuffed in her bra has walked free from court after spending less than two weeks behind bars.
Nikki Jordon-Menner was nabbed by police earlier this month at a known hotspot for drug crimes in Springvale South and charged with attempted trafficking.
Their suspicions were raised when they saw the Dandenong North 22-year-old sat in the driver’s side of a parked car with the lights turned off at 5.30am on July 6 this year.
They found she had a cocktail of drugs in her car including ice, GHB, and rugs paraphernalia.
Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday heard police were patrolling the Corio Drive and Montclair Close area of Springvale South — a renowned druggie area — when they came across Jordon-Menner in the car.
When they discovered she had drug priors, they searched her car and found a container of GHB inside.
They also found a purse containing a small amount of ice and a box with scales, used syringes, deal bags and a glass pipe inside.
She was taken to Dandenong police station and officers found more than 100 Xanax tablets, eight valium pills, 4g of cannabis and multiple small deal bags stuffed in her bra.
She told police she was the owner of all the drugs, which she said were for personal use, and she had bought them like that from her dealer, who she would not disclose the name of.
Her defence lawyer said Jordon-Menner’s life had been in disarray for a long time due to family grief, and she had self-medicated with the pills because no GP would proscribe them to her.
He said although she has a prior for trafficking ice, she was a passenger in that car at that time and not the main player.
