A PREGNANT mum on bail hired a $4000 mobility scooter at Fountain Gate shopping complex and drove off in it.
Dandenong Magistrates’ Court heard CCTV footage captured Bonnie Wilson-Knight riding the machine straight out of the centre’s doors, but it has never been found.
Wilson-Knight pleaded guilty to six charges at Dandenong Magistrates Court yesterday.

RED HILL RESTAURATEUR IN HOT WATER
The court heard she and two of her mates went into the Narre Warren centre on June 4 this year and she used a dodgy driving licence to hire the mobility scooter.
She was arrested in August in Bendigo, and told police she took the scooter “for a friend”, who she thought had taken it back.
She was on bail at the time for other offending.
In January she was driving in Lonsdale St, Dandenong and was stopped by police.
She was a Learner, but the passenger she was with didn’t have a full licence either, and she hadn’t displayed her L-plates.

Because she appeared nervous and agitated, police searched the car, finding a wallet with a small bag of ice inside.
In court the now mother of a one-year-old and a five-week-old defended herself, saying the scooter theft was “complete stupidity” and she believed her friend was going to return it.
She said she used to have a problem with ice, but had been clean for two months.
Magistrate Julie O’Donnell said she needed time to see if Wilson-Knight’s drug issues had been overcome.
She said the theft was serious and Wilson-Knight would have to pay back the $4180 for the scooter.
Ms O’Donnell deferred sentence until next year, saying if Wilson-Knight did well she would likely get a good behaviour bond otherwise her penalty will be much tougher.
She will be sentenced on February 25.
