An allegedly drugged up driver has booked herself a date with court after crashing an allegedly stolen car on a busy eastern suburbs highway.
The incident also led to police allegedly finding bags of methamphetamine in the 27-year-old’s possession, according to Knox highway patrol Senior Constable Kate Fisher.
Officers were called to the pedestrian crossing outside 831 Burwood Highway, Ferntree Gully about 10.02pm on Saturday, February 29, after a Mazda CX3 crashed into the back of another car.
Sen-Constable Fisher said the driver of the Mazda, a Richmond woman, kept going when the car in front stopped at a crossing.
No one was injured.
Sen Constable Fisher said the woman driving the other car called police.

Sen-Constable Fisher said a search of the car then allegedly turned up four small bags containing methamphetamine.
The driver was arrested and taken back to Knox police station.
She will face court at a later date.
