Belgrave-Hallam Road: Head-on crash leaves three seriously injured
One woman was flown to hospital with life-threatening injuries and two others are in a serious condition after a shocking crash in Belgrave South that happened when one car allegedly drifted onto the wrong side of the road.

A woman is battling life-threatening injuries and two others are in a serious condition in hospital following a head-on collision in Belgrave South this morning.
The crash occurred about 9am on Belgrave-Hallam Rd, approximately 300m of north of the roundabout at Wellington Rd, according to Yarra Ranges highway patrol Senior Constable Gareth Curran.
Sen-Constable Curran said an 80-year-old Frankston South woman was driving north when her Toyota RAV4 drifted onto the wrong side of the road and hit an oncoming Volvo.
She was flown to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with life-threatening injuries, while her passenger, a Queensland woman in her late 40s, was taken to Dandenong Hospital in a serious condition.

Sen-Constable Curran said the driver of the Volvo, an Emerald woman in her late 40s, was taken to The Alfred in a serious condition.
He said distraction was believed to be behind the crash.
Sen-Contable Curran said the Frankston South driver was celebrating her 80th birthday today.
The CFA joined police and Ambulance Victoria on scene.
The stretch of Belgrave-Hallam Rd has reopened after being closed for hours.
