Racist brute with swastika tattoo sentenced to 16 months prison for violence, drugs, weapons crimes

A racist brute emblazoned with a Nazi chest tattoo has been given 16 months behind bars for a 50-charge crime spree.

A racist Frankston thug has been jailed.

A swastika-tattooed racist thug with a love of drugs and guns has been jailed for 16 months.

But the 45-year-old ice-addicted hoodlum will walk free in just over four months, after already serving nearly a year on remand.

Frederick Cox, from Frankston, was sentenced at Frankston Magistrates’ Court yesterday for a series of drug-fuelled crimes.

He had pleaded guilty to dozens of charges late last year, with his case adjourned until yesterday to allow time for the magistrate to assess reports.

In court his defence lawyer said he had already served 348 days in custody and had engaged in rehabilitation and work courses while he was locked up.

She said he was now drug-free and determined to rebuild his life and care for his partner, who has terminal cancer, when he is released.

When he appeared in court in December he pleaded guilty to 50 driving, drug and assault offences during an eight-month crime spree in suburbs including Cranbourne, Dandenong, Seaford and Devon Meadows.

He was repeatedly caught driving without a licence while trafficking in ice, GHB and cannabis, and was nabbed armed with guns after being involved in a police pursuit.

The worst crime happened at 2.10am on October 21, 2017 when Cox and a mate went into a 7-Eleven in Frankston to get doughnuts.

The wannabe gangster threatened to kill an African man with a gun hidden Hollywood-style in his belt.

He shouted at the South Sudanese man “this is my country, get in your car and f*** off”, lifted his shirt to show he had a silver handgun tucked in his belt and then screamed he would “blow his head off”.

The incident was caught on CCTV and the swastika tattoo on his chest later incriminated Cox.

In that hearing magistrate Dominic Lennon said Cox needed to be taught to lead a law-abiding life.

Yesterday he was sentenced to one year and four months behind bars, with an expected release date in July.
