Box Hill and Box Hill South now have the most coronavirus cases in Whitehorse, with new postcode specific data revealing the suburbs with the highest number of cases.
Box Hill and Box Hill South, postcode 3128, had 17 active cases as of August 13, an increase of four, since the figures were last released by The Department of Health and Human Services on August 6.
The postcode with the previous highest amount, Burwood, had 15 active cases on August 13, down four from 19 on August 6.
The amount of active cases grew by five in Mitcham, (from four to nine), five in Surrey Hills and Mont Albert (from one to six) three in Vermont and Vermont South, (from 8 to 11), one in Blackburn (from five to six), one in Box Hill North (from one to two) and one in Burwood East (from five to six).
According to Sunday’s figures from the DHHS, there were 74 active cases of coronavirus in Whitehorse, a drop of five from Saturday’s 79 active cases.
Past positive coronavirus cases in Whitehorse include a fire panel technician who visited Ryman Healthcare’s construction site in Burwood East; a staff member from the Coles store in Vermont South, an employee from Box Hill Central store Selene’s, several staff members from Box Hill Hospital, and three employees from the Australian Taxation Office call centre in Box Hill.
