Whitehorse coronavirus: Numbers continues to rise across eastern suburbs
The number of active coronavirus cases in Whitehorse has grown, with one suburb in particular proving to be the hotspot, while police continue to fine people breaking State 4 lockdown.

The number of active coronavirus cases in Whitehorse increased by three overnight.
According to Wednesday’s figures from the Department of Health and Human Services, there are 79 active cases in Whitehorse, up from 76 on Friday.
In Monash the number of active cases rose by two, from 81 to 83.
However, Maroondah had a slight drop, going from 48 Friday to 47 Saturday
Victoria has recorded 303 new cases of coronavirus since yesterday, with the total number of cases now at 16,517.
The overall total has increased by 283 due to 20 cases being reclassified largely due to duplication.
Within Victoria, 29 of the new cases are linked to outbreaks or complex cases and 274 are under investigation.
There have been four new deaths from COVID-19 reported since yesterday: Two men and one woman aged in their 80s and one woman aged in her 90s.
Burwood has been revealed as Whitehorse’s coronavirus hotspot, with new postcode specific data revealing the suburbs with the highest number of cases.
Past confirmed coronavirus cases in Whitehorse include a staff member from the Coles store in Vermont South, an employee from Box Hill Central store Selene’s, several staff members from Box Hill Hospital, and three employees from the Australian Taxation Office call centre in Box Hill.
