Hawthorn premiership hero Josh Gibson and wife Ashley Bright are believed to have split.

Several sources revealed the pair have been looking separately at properties, with Bright recently purchasing a new place in Ballarat.

Their wedding pictures have also disappeared from their main pages on social media.

Gibson and Bright, who welcomed a son named Brody in September 2021, had been living a simple life between Daylesford and Ballarat on a property with five horses.

The couple married in March last year in the Yarra Valley with a beautiful and elegant celebration at Hubert Estate in Coldstream.

Gibson’s Hawthorn premiership teammate Jordan Lewis was among the groomsmen as an emotional Gibson said his life with Bright was “perfect.”

“I never imagined finding the love and fulfilment that has come across me since you came into my world,” he said during his wedding speech captured on social media by guests.

“Being married to you is perfect. Having a family with you is perfect.

“I really hope the next chapter we write, though, involves a child that actually sleeps through the night because we can’t have a Brody 2.0.”

The three time Hawthorn premiership defender proposed to Bright, a former ballet teacher and radiation therapist, in August 2022.

Since finishing his footy career, Gibson has appeared on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and Celebrity Apprentice and attends the occasional social event. It’s understood he started work in Bright’s family business.

When the couple welcomed their son, Gibson who wore the number 6 during his illustrious 225 game career, posted his joy.

“September has been very good to me over the years,’’ he wrote on Instagram.

“On the 6/9/21 at 2.58pm Brody Des Gibson was born and changed our world forever. (Ashley Bright) you’ve given us the greatest gift of all & words can’t describe how much I love you. If Brody being born on the 6th isn’t a sign, I don’t know what is! #dadlife #family.”

Gibson debuted the romance in 2020.
