Sports reporter Tom Morris has been rushed to a Sri Lankan hospital after he began to deteriorate rapidly with a serious case of food poisoning.

Cricket and footy reporter Tom Morris has been rushed to hospital in Sri Lanka after suffering food poisoning.
Morris, who is there working for radio SEN, is believed to have eaten some fish and his condition deteriorated rapidly.
When contacted he said he’s “all good and on the mend. Excited for the second Test.”
He spent hours in hospital and was on a drip until the early hours of Tuesday morning Australian time.
Morris is due back at work on Channel 9 in a week.
The network’s big name reporters haven’t had the best run of late with sport newsreader Tony Jones apologising to Novak Djokovic after he took offence to comments Jones made on air towards Serbian fans.
Also during the Australian Open Today reporter Alex Cullen was stood down after accepting a $50,000 cash prize from Melbourne billionaire Adrian Portelli over a nickname dare. He has since left the network.
