Hawks hero Josh Gibson ties knot with Ballarat businesswoman Ashley Bright

Teary-eyed Gibson told guests at the Hubert Estate reception in Coldstream that his life with Bright was “perfect”.

Hawks hero Josh Gibson has tied the knot with Ballarat businesswoman Ashley Bright in the Yarra Valley.

The couple celebrated their marriage at Hubert Estate in Coldstream on Friday.

An emotional Gibson told guests at the reception that his life with Bright was “perfect.”

“I never imagined finding the love and fulfilment that has come across me since you came into my world,” he said during his wedding speech which was captured on social media by excited guests.

“Being married to you is perfect. Having a family with you is perfect.

“I am so looking forward to the next chapter of our life.

“I really hope the next chapter we write, though, involves a child that actually sleeps through the night because we can’t have a Brody 2.0.”

Gibson and Bright have a young son called Brody who was born in September 2021.

The couple went public with their relationship in late 2020.

The three time Hawthorn premiership player proposed to Bright, a former ballet teacher and radiation therapist, in August 2022.
