The win means TSS director of football Joe Dolan gets to keep his job.

Up 4-1 the tide turned against TSS, Terrace showing true grit clawing back to 4-3 and inducing palpitations in a mortified Dolan.

But the visitors were not to be denied with a certain King brother scoring two “brilliant” goals.

Dolan said Harry King did his whole family proud first with a header off a free kick and his second a “fantastic” effort with his right foot to put his side 4-1 up.

“I said to him after the game, that was not just for you but also for your family who committed a lot to TSS over the years,” Dolan said.

But the clincher came from one Lochie Johnston who secured the fifth goal.

Outnumbered three-to-one he managed to win it off his competition to score and put the game out of reach for Terrace.

“I was really pleased with the effort the boys put in because it was a very stressful, important game and we could have folded because Terrace put us under pressure all the way through the second half but we were fantastic and resolute,” Dolan said.

“It was a real rollercoaster, a real good game of football with two quality sides.

“Our defence was a little better than theirs and that is why we were 4-1 up.

“And we were down to 10 men early in the second half.”

The relieved sports director said sterling leadership paved the way to the win with the year 12s galvanising the year 11s in a showcase of character.
