Immovable boulder makes Coast students take long route

STUDENTS in the Gold Coast hinterland will have to take the long way to school Wednesday – thanks to a seemingly immovable boulder on Tamborine Mountain Road.

Transport and Main Roads workers are still trying to remove the large rocks and fallen debris that damaged the road, locally known as the Goat Track, in mid-December.

PALAZZO Versace’s general manager has hit back at negative online reviews, saying the hotel has a “special place in the hearts of thousands of loyal and frequent guests”.

Jennifer Cole, a bikini model and nurse who has a young daughter with Gold Coast-based Mr Buckley, said her decision to dispense with a lawyer was in part to avoid being drained financially.

Coast principal accused of calling lockdown over ‘wrong shoes’

PARENTS are furious after a Gold Coast principal allegedly called a lockdown after arguing with a student who was wearing the wrong shoes and defied his instructions.

Year 12 student Brodie Miles alleged St Michael’s College principal Anthony Elmore berated him in a classroom for the uniform breach, provoking a verbal outburst before the lockdown was called on March 19.
