Anti-WAG Rebecca Klodinsky says key to happy hub life is to stay out of the drama
She’s flown under the radar compared to the AFL’s high-profile WAGs and their hub shenanigans. But self-made multi-millionaire Rebecca Klodinsky has revealed details of her “elusive” life in the Cats’ Gold Coast coterie.

It’s 6am on the Gold Coast and Cats skipper Joel Selwood is on the bench press doing a rep while Patrick Dangerfield works on bicep curls.
Wedged in between them on the cross-trainer in the Geelong hub is Rebecca Klodinsky, key defender Lachie Henderson’s, well, significant other.
Klodinsky doesn’t fit labels like WAG. The multi-millionaire IIXIIST (it’s pronounced “exist”) bikini founder and designer is the anti-WAG.
“I’m one of the more elusive people in the hub to be honest because my work ethic is so strong,” Klodinsky tells Page 13.
Toned to perfection, she is marking off 111 days locked down in the AFL hub as Geelong prepares for a Grand Final like no other.
“Re the WAG thing, I think I’m probably an outlier. I’m not a football person. Coming into this I had no idea what I was getting myself into and still don’t really because I’m very much into my work.
“So I’m not having the same experience I think everybody else has had because I am in the gym and I am working. That’s it, versus, well, another experience.”
You won’t find the above happy snaps from hub life on Insta or other social media platforms. Klodinsky says she does not like using her family to endorse her business.
“My position is I don’t just think of myself as his girlfriend. I am my own thing and have my own stuff happening. Lachie is not a marketing tool that I want to utilise or access, so I do keep that to myself.”
After the sweat session with “the boys”, Klodinsky heads to the makeshift office set up for her by the Geelong Football Club at the team’s hub near Metricon stadium.
She says 2020 has been make or break for many inside the hub.
Judging from Henderson’s performance on the field after being delisted in 2019, this year has been good to him.
After getting together 18 months ago, Klodinsky says she and Hendo and her toddler are flourishing in hub life.
It’s been around the same time the Cats started seeing Hendo play a career-best season.
Has the girl resurrected the man?
“You’re not the first person to ask that,” Klodinsky laughs. “In fact, I’m getting that from a lot of different people. While I’m not going to go around saying any of that, I do feel like there might be a direct correlation.
“I think it’s COVID too. We are forced into such a strange lockdown and such a new normal. It forges things.
“It forges business, it forges friendships. But it also breaks things, it breaks relationships, it breaks businesses.
“I feel proud of that coming out of the season, for work, for our relationship, for everything, I feel really good.”
Klodinsky is a self-made millionaire with her skimpy bikinis being flaunted by the likes of Kylie Jenner, Bella Hadid and Hailey Baldwin.
Her swimwear brand has gone from strength to strength, rebranding from Frankii to IIXIIST this year under COVID. Existing in hub lockdown has been no easy feat.
This week, it’s all about Hendo. Klodinsky says the Cats family have stuck fast in hub life by organising theme nights (red wine night was a particular favourite) and surviving 100 days.
She and Hendo spend most nights not joining in for communal dinner times, but eating Uber in their hub suite.
“So I think having that is the thing that has really worked, for real life and for my business. It was make or break.”
Bikinis go with surf and that’s where you find Hendo, usually at 13th or Bells back home. He counts surfer Mick Fanning as a mate.
That was 2019 and where he headed for a few beers with another mate Andy Lee when he was delisted.
Klodinsky says she won’t be crying her eyes out when she says goodbye to the daily health checks and minimalist life in hub lockdown.
But she says it’s gotten the Cats to the Grand Final.
“To reach the grand final win or lose, that’s what they came here to do. We are all just so proud of them.”
For Klodinsky it’s still going to be the gym at 6am.
