Willem Powerfish
Who: Willem Ian Ungermann is a YouTube Prankster. Famous for wearing Lycra while conducting fishing pranks.
Following: 324k on Instagram and 180k on YouTube
Controversy: Extreme Pranks, involving sinking a car and boat trailer into the Tweed River.
The Fallout: $15,100 fine for his river prank, and sentenced to a three-year community corrections order before Tweed Heads Local Court in February.
Candyman
Who: Freechoice Australia owner Travers Beynon is a millionaire businessman and father.
Following: 828k on Instagram
Controversy: In short, his lifestyle. He has a wife and multiple girlfriends, and he sells uncensored content of their lifestyle.
The Fallout: Hundreds of new fans and followers.
Shammi Prasad
Who: Prankster and social experiment content creator.
Following: 1.6m on Instagram and 14m on Facebook
Controversy: He’s conducted numerous bad pranks but he was threatened online after he threw out all his brother’s belongings.
The Fallout: Social media hate and death threats.
Brian Kelly
Who: Gold Coast Titans NRL player
Following: 9651 on Instagram
Controversy: Refused to have a compulsory flu vaccine in May 2020. In April 2021 he shared an anti-vax post on his Insta page.
The Fallout: The Titans in 2020 gave him an ultimatum to take the mandatory vaccine or walk away, potentially losing $500,000. He got the jab. His 2021 post only drew more attention to his stance.
Anna Paul
Who: Social media influencer and Tik Tok star.
Following: 565k on Instagram and 439k on Tik Tok
Controversy: Posting OnlyFans and other x-rated content online.
The Fallout: Her TikTok account was banned at 1.2 million after failing to comply with the platform’s conditions about raunchy content.
Mikaela Testa
Who: Instagram influencer and Tik Tok creator.
Following: 1.2m on Instagram and 502.4k on Tik Tok
Controversy: Testa cried when Instagram removed likes, and her constant insensitive and racy posts has this star a controversy queen. In June 2021 she posted a video of herself giving her boyfriend oral sex in public, which, well, put her back in the news.
In the video Testa is seen with a man who drops his pants and sits on a park bench. Testa then kisses the man before bending down in front of him. No nudity is seen but it is implied what happens next.
The Fallout: Numerous hate comments but more followers.
Renee Gracie
Who: Supercar driver turned adult actor and influencer.
Following: 750,000 on Instagram
Controversy: Conflict with one-time rival Supercars driver David Reynolds over his 2016 comments about her car being a “p**** wagon”. Also she polarised opinion when changing to post OnlyFans content.
The Fallout: Instagram account deleted and banned because of her explicit photos and videos.
Luke Erwin
Who: YouTube prankster.
Following: 489k on Instagram and 387k on YouTube
Controversy: Extreme pranks including ‘sneezing’ on a homeless man and handing out Alcohol at Invasion Day protests.
The Fallout: Social media backlash and removal of his Instagram account due to a breach in the platform’s conditions.
Skye Wheatley
Who: Ex Big Brother star and Instagram influencer
Following: 684k on Instagram
Controversy: Countless controversial comments and posts regarding domestic violence victims, ‘chocolate’ babies, sun tanning and the toilet paper crisis. She’s also had her share of license suspensions and most recently came under fire for asking her followers to name her baby.
The Fallout: Online criticism and Instagram fame.
Sophie Guidolin
Who: Fitness and nutrition Instagram influencer.
Following: 540k on Instagram
Controversy: Her over-sharing on Instagram has left some divisive comments regarding weightlifting while pregnant, and her public break-up with both husband Nathan Wallace and MAFS boyfriend Jake Edwards.
