A GLITTER Strip bar has amped up its menu, introducing hefty meaty platters and litres of margaritas “fit for a king”.
Orchid Avenue’s House of Brews, which is known for lavish cocktails and serving 32 different types of beer, is moving into dishing up super-sized share platters.
They yesterday introduced a whopping 7kg share plate called Magyar and are pouring four litres of margarita and a share drink called the Pandora’s box.

The platter consists of 900g of porterhouse steak, 10 ribs, 10 wings, 10 pork sliders, 10 mac and cheese bites, garlic bread, chicken schnitzel, salad and fries.

It was inspired by the bar’s head chef Jim Balint who ate at a medieval-style restaurant Sir Lancelot in Hungary while on holidays.
House of Brews’ Jade Wood said Mr Balint “really wanted to bring it to House Of Brews because we love anything big and crazy”.

“We’ve introduced this giant medieval-style dinner platter which feeds about 10 to 11 people,” she said.
“It’s huge and one of our things we want to focus on. We like to put on a show. All of our drinks are quite spectacular and we are really wanting to push the food menu that way.
“The big platters are going to be a hit. There’s nothing else like it around.”
