House of Brews set to serve a sticky Canada Day

A Glitter Strip bar and restaurant has unveiled a bizarre new menu with a host of items you’ve probably never heard of. But they’re confident it will be a big hit with customers.

A GLITTER Strip craft beer bar and restaurant is going all out for Canada Day with a special edition ale, cocktails, maple syrup chicken wings and party across Sunday and Monday.

House of Brews plans to kick of Canada Day festivities a day early ahead of the official Monday, July 1 occasion.

House of Brews floor manager Jade Wood says there is a large interest in Canada Day on the Gold Coast.

“We first celebrated five years ago and it went off. There’s so many Canadians on the Gold Coast and they loved it so we continued to do it every year,” Miss Wood said.

For House of Brews authenticity was key, she said.

“We have a Canadain Caesar drink with proper Clamato juice - lots of Canadians come to us when they’re missing home because they know we have the right stuff,” she said.
