A muscled-up Louis Vuitton-wearing drug dealer from Sydney’s northern beaches has swapped his designer shoes for prison greens after being jailed for three years.

Defence lawyers for Aaron Waters had previously said they had found a medical officer who was prepared to treat his anxiety disorder if he was allowed to stay in the community.

But NSW District Court Judge Donna Woodburne ruled jail time was necessary over his drug supply offending and sentenced him to three years and six months jail with a non-parole period of one year and nine months.

Waters, who had worn Louis Vuitton shoes to an earlier court hearing, was taken into custody at the Downing Centre court complex in Sydney’s CBD and transported to Parklea Correctional Centre in the city’s northwest.

The court had been told the 27-year-old, who owns a successful Dee Why swimming pool business and once posed for a photo on a horse wading through the sea, was involved in the supply of cocaine and MDMA out of an inconspicuous garage near Manly’s wharf.

Agreed facts state after his arrest in May 2019 detectives found 1381g of powerful party drug MDMA in the garage.

Prosecutors accepted they could not prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Waters knew the amount of MDMA was not less than a large commercial quantity.

He had entered the witness box in court and claimed he was a changed man in front of Ms Woodburne.

“Your honour, since I’ve been released on bail it’s been the biggest wake-up call of my life,” he said.

“I’ve decided to rehabilitate myself, I’ve had a lot of shame on myself. It’s definitely a path I don’t want to go back down again.”

Waters also said that business had improved at his company Superior Pool Care after his arrest.

“Ever since I’ve been out on bail I’ve increased my business, (I’ve put on) extra workers,” he said.

“I haven’t done anything wrong since then … it was a pretty big wake-up call for me.”

Records state after his jailing the court recommended for him to be reviewed medically once he enters custody.

Waters had told the court he had been seeking professional help to deal with his anxiety while awaiting sentence.

Before his downfall Waters did not shy away from showing off his money, treating his thousands of Instagram followers to photos of his luxury lifestyle including overseas travel.

He also had a special bond with his black French bulldog Louie and captioned a photo saying “this little man puts a smile on my face everyday”.

Last month he was arrested for breaching his bail conditions over allegedly going to his own birthday party.

Ms Woodburne called his celebrations at a Manly venue “a public display of disregard of orders of the court” and blasted him for wasting police and court resources.

Waters will be first eligible for parole in July 2022.
