A man who was camping at a cemetery in Sydney’s west has been charged over allegedly stabbing a 30-year-old man as he walked through the area with two friends.

A man will face court today after he was charged with stabbing a 30-year-old man in a cemetery in Sydney’s west.
The 29-year-old was arrested by police outside Mays Hill cemetery on Friday night after emergency services were called to reports of a 30-year-old man being stabbed at the cemetery a short time earlier.
Police say the alleged victim and two friends were walking through the grounds when an altercation broke out with the 29-year-old, who was allegedly camping on the grounds.
The injured 30-year-old was taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition, and the 29-year-old was treated for minor injuries before he was taken to Granville Police station and charged with reckless wounding.
He was denied police bail and is expected to face Parramatta Local Court today.
