Investigation underway after teenage boy arrives at Bankstown Hospital with gunshot wound
Police were called to Bankstown Hospital on Friday night, after a 17-year-old boy presented to the Emergency Department with a gunshot wound to the right leg.

An investigation is underway after a teenage boy arrived at Sydney hospital with a gunshot wound on Friday night.
Police were called to Bankstown Hospital just before 8pm last night, after a 17-year-old boy presented to the Emergency Department with a gunshot wound to the right leg.
The injury is not considered life threatening.
The boy arrived with an 18-year-old mate, with both of them refusing to assist police with inquiries or explain the injury.
When police attempted to arrest the older boy for concealing an indictable offence, it’s alleged he assaulted two police officers, causing one of them injury.
The 18-year-old was taken to Bankstown Police Station where it will be further alleged that he made a number of threats towards officers.
The Punchbowl teen was charged with conceal serious indictable offence, hinder or resist police officer in the execution of duty, assault police officer in execution of duty without actual bodily harm and three counts of intimidate police officer in execution of duty.
He is set to face Parramatta Court today.
Last night police also seized a Blue Nissan Pulsar that was parked on the corner of Eldridge Road and Artegall Street, Bankstown, for forensic examination.
This vehicle is believed to have been used by the males to attend the hospital.
