Dressed in a green football jersey and shorts, the man screams at police, “f*** you, what do you want, are you going to touch me,” before being restrained.

He is then heard continuing to swear at the police as an officer finds and inspects the man‘s wallet, screaming “F***ing p***k.”

NSW Police confirmed the incident in a statement.

“Just after 1pm on Sunday (9 January 2022), police were called to Olympic Street, Griffith, after reports, a taxi passenger was refusing to pay the fare or get out," a spokesman said.

"Officers from Murrumbidgee Police District attended and spoke to a man, who attempted to walk away … the 20-year-old man was arrested after resisting officers and taken to Griffith Police Station."

"He was later issued a move on direction before being released, pending further investigation."

Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
