A man has been charged after allegedly being caught twice by police drink driving on the same day south of Wollongong.
NSW Police state that officers were alerted to a damaged SUV being driven around in Jamberoo on Sunday afternoon.
Officers later found the vehicle in the Kevin Walsh Oval car park.
The driver, Brian Walsh, 67, took a breath test which allegedly returned a positive reading.
Walsh was arrested and taken to the police station for a second breath test, with an alleged reading of 0.351.
He was charged with high-range PCA, and driving a motor vehicle while licence suspended, with Walsh released on a conditional bail.
However, a few hours later a member of the public reported a driver of an SUV attempting a three-point turn at the same car park.
Officers responded to the call and found Walsh allegedly behind the wheel of the vehicle again.
Walsh was given another breath test which allegedly returned a positive result and he was arrested and taken to the same police station.
The second breath test allegedly came back with a reading of 0.267, leading police to slap him with another charge of high-range PCA, driving a motor vehicle while licence suspended, and breach of bail.
Walsh appeared before the Bail Division Court on Monday, where he was refused bail and will appear before Wollongong Local Court on Tuesday July 22.
