Sydney jeweller and man about town, Mark Judge will defend domestic violence assault charges next year in court.

Mark Judge, 43, was “at work” when his matter was mentioned at Waverley Local Court on Thursday where his lawyer formally entered not guilty pleas to two counts of domestic violence related common assault.

Court documents state Judge allegedly assaulted Erin Murphy at Vaucluse about 12pm on October 8.

Two days later on October 10, about 2.40pm at Woollahra, police will allege Judge assaulted the same woman.

The 43-year-old was arrested at his home on October 12 as part of Operation Amarok, a police operation targeting alleged perpetrators of domestic violence. He was taken to Waverley police station where he was charged.

Judge was refused police bail and appeared at Waverley Local Court on the same day where he was released on conditional bail.

Magistrate Ross Hudson told the court he would be setting down two future dates, a readiness mention and the hearing date itself.

Judge’s lawyer said he estimated the hearing to go for three hours and Mr Hudson set it down for June 25.

When asked by Mr Hudson if CCTV footage would be played, the lawyer said “potentially”.

The prosecutor said body worn footage would “certainly” be used with the matter returning to court on March 28 for readiness mention.

The former Rebel bikie associate nearly died more than a decade ago after being stabbed at least nine times while outside his Bellevue Hill apartment.

A man was later acquitted of the attack.
